Beautiful! This is a beautiful representation of a Silver Sable GSD.

Also, in response to the stuff said before, the "Classic black and tan" is not classic in the least and was bred into the breed for fashion. The original German Shepherds were all sable, anywhere from silver to deep red to practically black. This is why the majority of working GSDs are some variation of sable, and why show lines are black/red, black/tan, black/silver, you get it. As a breeder, we have quite the time trying to explain this to all of our customers who come in wanting an "Original" colored GSD!

This is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! I have yet to visit the rest of your gallery, but this picture alone wants me to throw money at you to recreate my Red Sable GSD "Jericho." This is by far the most realistic GSD head I've seen, THANK YOU for not making it look like a brown Husky!

For a shepherd they don't usually have that fur color unless they're a mix. Just a suggestion, you may want to make it a classic tan/black saddle, white or black. .-. Sorry it bothers me that it says it's a GS when it doesn't have the right fur color..

Actually, it is possible for it to be a full GSD, of the sable colouration (which is not a mix colouration)

I see your point. They can also be brindle but you don't see it very often. It just didn't look sable or anything of the sorts.

Yeah, I think brindle's pretty rare. And it does look lighter, at least to me, than sables usually are, but that would be my best bet as to why it's got that colouration c:

Yea I have a black GS and everyone thinks he's a wolf cause they've never seen a black long hair.

That's awesome! Mine was husky/gsd and looked like a typical sable as far as colouration went except she was so light tan she was almost white

Ooh I'm sure she's very pretty. I don't think I've ever seen a Husky/Shepherd mix. I've seen a lab mix but I think the owners are sorta lying cause he looks like a black lab...

She was very pretty c: Like I said, very light.
And I always fin it interesting that, even if you know for sure what mix a dog is, it can look totally different xD

Yea. It's not very common for them to have shades of gray in them unless they're a mix. Usually they mix GS with a lab.

No. He's not a mix, and yes, I would know. :) It's my dog and I raised, showed, and worked GSD's in SAR for nearly 20 years.. In all honesty, the photo makes this mask a lot greyer than it is in person.

Also, I recommend looking up sables in GSD's. There are many other colors out there than the three you mention.

Fantastic work! Do you have a tutorial for those follow-me eyes? They're excellent and very realistic-looking.

ok then! what you have to do, is take clear casting resin and poor it into a mold (generally those circle one dollar paint pallets) after there dry, then you take two halves and glue them together. once dry, you paint ONE SIDE only. you paint the pupil first, then the color of the eyes.

i had to try quite a few times to get it right XD if you would like to see how mine turned out with these instructions then here ^^ ghostwolfhybrid.deviantart.com...

Do you make your own bases or do you use someone else' resin molds?
